Cheers to Keith: A Fond Farewell

It’s with great respect, admiration, and a few tears that we announce Keith Schreiber’s retirement as of January 2022. Keith began his design and construction career as a Project Officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. After his service, he gained experience in a few different roles in Architecture and Contracts before partnering with Phil Lane and opening the door to Schreiber & Lane Architects in 1987. For 35 years, Keith has served as our fearless and cheerful leader, dedicated to public architecture and the positive impact it has on Washington communities.

A long-awaited celebration took place on June 3 to honor our founding principal and mark his retirement. Friends and associates gathered for canapes and cocktails at the top of Hotel Sorrento, with toasts on the terrace in tribute to Keith and his 44-year professional career.

Keith addressed the crowd saying, “It has been my great honor and privilege to work together with such a group of talented and dedicated architects. I am so very proud of the organization we are today and the impact we have had working with and for clients who care passionately about creating and improving the public architecture that serves our communities. I could not be more excited about the future of this great organization.”

Thank you, Keith. May your days of retirement be filled with blue skies and bliss.
